My name is Susan Kuech. In 1980 whilst working as a veterinary nurse, we had 5, white day old boxers come to the surgery. The owner of the bitch had been advised by the stud dog owner that they should be put to sleep, she was devastated, we told her this was not so. When they came back at 3 days old to have their tails and dew claws removed I asked if I could have one. I chose a girl with a large red patch over her eye. I named her Abbie, she was my best friend from the day I collected her. She lived eleven years and left me with many happy memories and the love for this fun loving breed.
When Abbie was two I thought it would be nice for her to have another boxer to play with, I searched and found Molly, she was also white, sadly Molly was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma at 17mths and she had to be put to sleep. I didn’t get another boxer for quite some time being too upset by the whole experience.
Just after losing Abbie I had an holiday in Majorca where I met my husband, who is German. I went to live in Germany, and had three children together.
In 1995 we returned to England. It didn’t take long before the void had to be filled with, yes a boxer, we bought Cissi another white boxer. Sadly this breed does suffer from cancer, we lost Cissy at 2years. I decided enough was enough and decided to change breeds, along came Lulu who is a gold & white Shihtzu, Lulu is now ten years old and shares the house with, yes you've guessed it, not 1 but 3 boxers, I just couldn’t bear to be parted from them. I also recently decided that I wanted to try and add my two penny's worth in bettering the breed, having been through some very distressing times with a number of Boxers.
This year 2007 marked the beginning of 'Boese Boxers' and my first home bred litter, although a difficult and stressful experience, I am delighted with the outcome. See puppy page to meet Esther's (my first Boxer Brood Bitch) puppies.
